Workshop with SFPD Chief, Bill Scott

  • San Francisco Police Headquarters 1245 3rd Street San Francisco, CA, 94158 United States (map)

We are excited to announce a unique workshop with San Francisco Police Chief William "Bill" Scott, a pioneering leader in modern policing and law enforcement reform. Chief Scott brings over 30 years of law enforcement experience and is nationally recognized for implementing innovative 21st Century Policing reforms in San Francisco.

Students will have the opportunity to engage with Chief Scott in an intimate fireside chat where he'll share his journey from Birmingham, Alabama to leading one of America's most progressive police departments. He'll discuss his experience implementing cutting-edge police reforms, managing public safety in a major city, and navigating challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic and evolving community needs.

Following the discussion, Chief Scott and SFPD officers will lead hands-on activity teaching us about modern policing tools and technologies that SFPD uses to keep San Francisco safe. In addition, they will share techniques for effective communication and decision-making in law enforcement scenarios.
